I just got back from a great stay at the Moseley Inn. The room was super cozy with a fire place and a deck. It was a little chilly for the deck, but the fire place was perfect on a chilly Columbus Day weekend. If you stay at the Moseley, you're within walking distance to shops, dining, and the waterfront. Breakfast was great. Every morning we were greeted by Mary who took our order for hot food which was always great. Coffee was available 24/7 and snacks were put out every afternoon. I'll surely be back!

My husband and I just returned from some wonderful time spent on Mount Desert Island after our wedding. We came upon Moseley Cottage Inn while we were there, and checked in for two nights. On the second day we asked if there was any chance that we could stay for another night, but sadly for us they were all booked up. We stayed in the Jordan Pond room and it was absolutely lovely. The room has a fireplace, terrace, and bay window overlooking the back of the property. Breakfast was delicious, and they even have coffee and scones in the entry throughout the day for guests to enjoy. We had a great time chatting with Mary Grace, who prepared our breakfast, and Darlene, who took immaculate care of our room. We loved this place, and would highly recommend it for anyone visiting the Bar Harbor area! Side note: I foolishly left something behind in the room. By the time I realized a few hours after we had checked out the owner had already dropped the item in the mail. The customer service is really outstanding!

Review for the Moseley Cottage B&B Exceeded my expectations!!! Positives: - Amazing breakfast - Super clean - Wonderful staff - Character - Perfect location Negatives (all of which are to be expected in an older home): - limited plug ins - sink faucet too close to wall of sink - third floor walk up

We just returned from a great trip to Bar Harbor, Maine July 25 to July 30, 2013. We booked Moseley Cottage online based on the reviews and availability. Busy time of year. I'm very glad other places were booked, as staying at a cozy, family run Inn was just right. The staff was extremely gracious, always. The hotel is very well maintained, clean and updated. The breakfasts were excellent, including Eggs Benedict. They also served home-made scones and delicious fruit tarts made from scratch in their kitchen . We did not know breakfast was not included as we were in the hotel. After the first day one of the staff advised us as we were staying in the motel section, not the Inn. We had breakfast as second time, and they removed the charge for the first because they said they did not advise us in time and there was no charge. Location was excellent, just off the main street around the corner. It was great not to be in the middle of the hubbub, but close enough to walk to everything. The street Moseley is on is so very New England. Next time in Bar Harbor, we will stay there again.

Loved this B&B, it was off the main drag, which was convenient and quiet. We were in the Precipice Room and it was huge. The beds were comfy and I loved the decorating of the rooms. Breakfast and I enjoy the fresh-made muffins every morning. Check it out if you're headed to Bar Harbor!

We were here in October, 2009 (~$100 with tax/night), and stayed in the motel portion. The best part of our stay here was its proximity to the downtown Bar Harbor area. It is right off the main street, and for such great access to the Bar Harbor area, it was a great price! However, the rest of our stay here was average- not bad, just nothing special. There is no breakfast provided, nor free internet. There is cable TV. The room is very spacey, with two double beds in it. Not much else to say, the motel itself was not too memorable, but in the end, that's not what we came to Bar Harbor for- we spent most of our time out and about. So overall, a good value for the price, and excellent location. Would recommend if the focus of your trip is the location itself, and not the places you stay and amenities provided.

This place is great for a quiet get away from the hustle and bustle. The inn is exquisitely clean, beds are warm and comfy. There was even a fire log in the fireplace every evening for a nice wind down after hiking Acadia! Delicious chocolate chip cookies are available in the lobby right next to the do-it-yourself coffee machine (great - so many B&B's enforce the coffee at breakfast rule - irritable inn-mates!) The only complaint I have is the bath room next door to our room, Jordan Pond Room (or Room 3) is separated only by a door. If your neighbors are noisy, as our were the last night of our stay, well....we hear every word about Bob at work and his trials there. Yes, we heard the rest as well, but I will not write it here! Would stay here again, would recommend!

Ahhh, Moseley! WE LOVE YOU!! If you want the perfect bed & breakfast in the perfect location in Bar Harbor, look no further. The inn keepers, Pam and Scott are lovely, accommodating, and almost always available to chat with or ask questions. When they are not, their staff picks up where they leave off seamlessly. The location is amazing. Only a block away from the downtown area, but far enough that you don't even know the hustle and bustle is going on only steps away. The rooms are comfy and easy. We moved a few times during our stay and got to experience 3 different rooms. All were great. My husband and I had not been on vacation in about 6 years, and we longed to return to Bar Harbor and Moseley where we had stayed in years past. We are SO glad we did, and now we will not let another year go by without heading up to one of our favorite places in the world. We would never stay anywhere else but Moseley.
